WHAT IS A CASING?
A casing is a pipe with a large diameter. It is assembled and inserted into a newly drilled borehole and held in place with a cement mixture. Our team designs casing for your property by determining the worst possible conditions that may occur during drilling and production and negating these occurrences. We’ll make sure that your project is designed and installed according to your site specifications.
Casing aids the drilling process by:
- Protecting freshwater wells
- Preventing cave-ins
- Providing a strong foundation
- Preventing fluid from leaking into production zones
- Providing a productive internal bore for installation of equipment
- And more

WHEN IS CASING NEEDED?
Our contractors may insert casings when subsurface conditions like strength and formation pressures make it impossible for a bore to support itself. In this situation, our team will use steel casings. We can either install these casings directly by driving them in with a piling rig or using a vibrating head. Once your casings are installed, we can then clean the casing out and prepare the bored pier for steel reinforcing and concreting.
